NESC MX since 1958 Countdown to the next race

Report and photos by Paul Buckley

Combine a perfect day and a perfectly prepped track and what do you get? 461 entries at Crow Hill as the NESC Spring Series begins it's final quarter. Many classes had full or nearly full gates, even the Female class had 20 entries and none of the classes needed qualifiers so everyone got to race.

The Crow Hill crew had the track looking good, every time the run a race there's a few more improvements.

Racers from all over New England as well as New York were on hand for this picture perfect day.

Richie Messier Jr won the 125 Youth C class.

Paul Lamb, sporting the big number one plate on his 450 KTM was looking good at Crow Hill

Cullen Bolduc got a great start in the 200+ Pro/expert class.

Matt Tovani

Nice to see Chris Pugrab back in action and going fast, he won the Open Expert class and was second to the almost unstoppable Josh Clark in the 125 class.

Scott Fletcher

Racing what he sells. Scott Buxton, a Tucker Rocky rep, models the latest Answer gear at the start of the 30A-B moto.

Jenn Mead

Cassie Leclair and Carrie Davis were so close in the first girls moto it looked like they really did go sidehack racing. Cassie pulled away and took fourth overall, Carrie ended up seventh.

Zack Johnson

Corey Ridel (#58 on the Yamaha) scored enough points at Crow Hill to get bumped up to the Youth A class. That means he'll get to race in a combined moto with the 125 Experts.

Talk about turning heads! Todd Maksymiw has always been fast but not this fast. John Dowd (who's son Ryan races with Todd) says it's like he found another gear. At Crow Hill the 300 had a perfect day winning the 125 Youth B class as well as the 125 Amateurs.

Mike Bridges dicing in the Open Expert class with Bobby Tiso.

Pretty awesome to see full gate starts in lots of the classes. Here Ethan Williams #28 and Justin Perras lead the first Youth B moto.

Kid's not even in high school yet and he's pulling Open class holeshots, that's Jesse Lamy #801 leading with 28 riders behind him.

The Supermini class is always a good show, here Zack Johnson leads, Justin Farnum is in second and Ezra Miles is in third.

Ryan Goodale and Bryan Chaney ripping in the 125 Youth C class.

Danny Mallette gets the start as the 125 Youth C moto gets underway.
